1.Contemplation and Reflection on Allah’s Signs*

   – “And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith]. So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, ‘This is my lord.’ But when it set, he said, ‘I like not those that set [i.e., disappear].’ And when he saw the moon rising, he said, ‘This is my lord.’ But when it set, he said, ‘Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray.’ And when he saw the sun rising, he said, ‘This is my lord; this is greater.’ But when it set, he said, ‘O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allah. Indeed, I have turned my face [i.e., self] toward He who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah.” (Al-An’am 75-79)

 

2. Patience in the Face of Adversity for the Sake of Allah:

   – Prophet Ibrahim endured much harm for the sake of calling people to Allah, starting with his father’s threat to stone him and abandon him. His patience extended to being cast into the fire by his people, from which Allah saved him.

 

3. Seeking Refuge in Prayer During Times of Fear:

   – When traveling with his wife Sarah to Egypt, he warned her of a tyrant king and advised her to say she was his sister. During the encounter, both resorted to prayer, and Allah protected them.

 

4. Hospitality to Guests:

   – Prophet Ibrahim’s story highlights his generous hospitality, as he offered his best calf to the angels before recognizing them, reflecting the Islamic value of honoring guests.

   – Despite his father’s disbelief, Prophet Ibrahim continued to treat him with kindness, praying for his guidance. Similarly, his son Ismail demonstrated unwavering obedience when asked to be sacrificed, showcasing the principle that good deeds are rewarded in kind.

   – After building the Kaaba, Ibrahim and Ismail sought forgiveness from Allah, illustrating the importance of continuous worship and repentance.
