Linguistic Definition: Paradise is a vast garden that conceals what is inside it. Similarly, the word ‘jinn’ comes from the root meaning to hide, and ‘Jinn’ refers to beings hidden from sight.
Terminological Definition: Paradise is the eternal abode that Allah has prepared for His believing servants, containing pleasures no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has imagined. Allah says, “And no soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes as reward for what they used to do” (As-Sajdah: 17).
Secondly: The description of Jannah in Islam:

Numerous Quranic verses describe Jannah in Islam, such as, “Is the description of Paradise, which the righteous are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, in which they will have from all [kinds of] fruits and forgiveness from their Lord” (Muhammad: 15).
In a sacred hadith, Allah says, “I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived.”
1. Where is Paradise? Above the seventh heaven, near the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary, as Allah says, “At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary – Near it is the Garden of Refuge” (An-Najm: 14-15).
2. The breadth of Paradise: Its breadth is like that of the heavens and the earth, as Allah says, “And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous” (Al-Imran: 133). The length of Paradise is known only to Allah.
3. The gates of Paradise: Paradise has eight gates:
– Gate of Prayer
– Gate of Jihad
– Gate of Ar-Rayyan
– Gate of Charity
– Gate of Reliance
– Gate of Filial Piety
– Gate of Remembrance
– Gate of Repentance
4. The chambers of Paradise: Mentioned in Allah’s words, “But those who have feared their Lord – for them are chambers, above them chambers built high, beneath which rivers flow. [This is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in [His] promise” (Az-Zumar: 20). These chambers are grand palaces, layered, exquisitely constructed, lofty, and adorned.
5. The construction of Paradise: It is built of gold and silver bricks, its soil is musk, and its gravel is pearls and rubies, as the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “Paradise is built with bricks of gold and silver, and its mortar is fragrant musk. Its pebbles are pearls and rubies, and its soil is saffron.”
6. The trees of Paradise: The Quran describes its trees as having long-lasting shade, as in “And shade long-extended” (Al-Waqi’ah: 30). The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “In Paradise, there is a tree under the shade of which a rider could travel for a hundred years.” The trees have golden trunks, silver branches, emerald green leaves, and fruits as large as water jars, and they are built through glorification, praise, and magnification of Allah.
7. The rivers of Paradise:The Prophet, peace be upon him, described them, saying, “Perhaps you think that the rivers of Paradise flow in valleys? By Allah, they flow on the surface of the earth, with banks of pearls and rubies, and their soil is fragrant musk.” Besides water, there are rivers of milk, honey, and wine in Paradise.
8. The degrees of Paradise:Paradise has various degrees and ranks, with the highest being the degree of Al-Wasilah, which the Prophet, peace be upon him, hopes to attain. The highest level is Al-Firdaus, followed by other degrees like the Garden of Eternity, Garden of Eden, Abode of Peace, and others.
9. The furnishings of Paradise:The furnishings include couches made of red ruby with wings of green emerald, adorned with seventy mattresses of light, with silk exterior and brocade interior, and their length spans forty years of travel.
Thirdly: The attributes of the inhabitants of Paradise:

Allah has prepared for the inhabitants of Paradise what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has imagined. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “The first group to enter Paradise will have the radiance of the full moon, and those who follow them will have the brilliance of the brightest star in the sky. They will not urinate, defecate, spit, or have nasal secretions. Their combs will be of gold, their perspiration will be musk, and their incense will be aloeswood. Their wives will be houris, and their forms will be that of a single person, resembling their father Adam, sixty cubits tall.”
The clothing of the inhabitants of Paradise is silk, and their jewelry is gold and pearls, as Allah says, “They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk” (Fatir: 33). Their food will be what they desire, starting with the liver of the fish and the meat of a bull in Paradise. They will also enjoy the flesh of birds, fruits they choose, and wine delicious to drink.
In Paradise, there will be eternal youths serving them, as Allah says, “There will circulate among them young boys made eternal – With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring” (Al-Waqi’ah: 17-18). The age of the inhabitants of Paradise will be thirty-three years, and their height will be sixty cubits, like their father Adam.
Fourthly: The greatest blessing given to the inhabitants of Paradise:

The greatest blessing for the inhabitants of Paradise is the vision of Allah and gazing upon His noble countenance. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, Allah will say: ‘Do you want anything more?’ They will say: ‘Have You not brightened our faces, admitted us to Paradise, and saved us from Hell?’ Then He will remove the veil, and they will not have been given anything more beloved to them than looking at their Lord.”
